Sleep Routine for Kids
Sleep is so crucial to your child's success at school. But we know many kids just aren't getting enough of it. Here are some tips to help.
🛏️ Example of a Bedtime Routine
Maya, age 10, needs to get up at 6:30 a.m. to go to school. She does best when she has had ten hours of sleep.
At 7:30 p.m., an hour before bedtime, she puts away her tablet.
She takes a warm shower and brushes her teeth.
She reads a book quietly in the living room.
At 8:30 p.m. she goes to bed with a reminder from her parents. Her room is dark, quiet, and free of distractions.
She wakes up at 6:30 a.m. feeling refreshed and excited for school.
🛏️Bedroom Tips for Quality Sleep
A child’s sleep environment contributes to how well they sleep. Parents can take several steps to ensure their children have quality sleeping environments:
Keep the room dark. Dark or heavy curtains can eliminate outside light.
Make sure the room is cool. An environment that is too warm can keep your child awake.
Eliminate noises and keep the room quiet. Some children may desire a white noise machine or a fan to create a soothing sound so they sleep distraction-free. Be sure to avoid noisy activities (such as vacuuming) in the evening when your children are trying to sleep.
Use the bed only for sleep. Encourage your child to do homework, reading, and other activities in designated locations.

I have osteo arthritis in both shoulders, since this lousy Medicare won't pay for my operation, I am getting Stem Cell Therapy! To hell with the surgery. Can't move your shoulder for 6 weeks, that's just wrong look at other videos here and see some doctors want you to get rid of the sling the 1st week.

I had a lunptecramy on 5/23/24. I am still recovering from pain and sesativity. Nerve pain has lessoned. Sutures are still around the areola and lower part of my breast along with plastic suture tape. All reports are favorable with a success surgery. Contemplating no radiation, and I do not need chemo. Prayers of continued healing for all of us❤. Be blessed.

We need more UA-cam discussions about help with side effects because there's too much focus on what they are and very little on how to deal with them. By the way I've never understood why banana s recommended in the BRAT when they're actually a good source of fibre??? Makes no sense. I think steamed fish or poached chicken breast with potatoes, or a simple chicken broth and toast is much better and helps you keep energy levels because you need the protein. Also surely the weight loss is coming from not being able to keep food down or from going straight through, so high fat foods aren't a good solution.

@@mikepetro9679 Thanks , ya June 10th . I hurt it playing hockey , so I'm looking forward to being able to play again and do a pushup lol . Hope your recovery goes well and you get back to the things that you use to do.

      @mikepetro9679 3 місяці тому

@@cdnrider6200 that's crazy , I hurt mine in hockey also. I believe it was semi-torned or whatever prior to the accident because I was just battling for the puck with another guy in the corner , a play you do all the time , and I felt a POP sensation in the shoulder and I was done on the ice and couldn't even move the arm for days after .. anyways I'm a big workout freak too and do ALOT of dumbbell HIIT videos and kettlebells , ropes, sprints ect .. and while I had some range of motion after the initial physical therapy I did, it was killing me I couldn't work out like I used to (like you said even pushups were really difficult and I was used to doing sometimes 100 a day) and so I knew deep down I had to get it fixed .. just keep reminding yourself that you gotta get it done to get back to normal . Hell, I couldn't even reach up high . And DONT be nervous about the surgery and going under and everything like I was . The medical teams are pros and you literally fall asleep and wake up and it's done. Sorry for the long post but wishing you the best bro

I'm hoping you might be able to help It appears a nerve block during a rotator cuff surgery has left me with a blood clot and half of my right lung being nonfunctional.. Will not go into the specifics of the lack of response from the doctor who performed the surgery but a hospital stay was able to get me out of immmediat distress. A VERY GOOD PA was able to help me out with determing what was going on. Comparing pre op xrays and CTs he has determined half.of.my right lung is no functionimg . He researched and determined it may be necessary to have a surgeon go in and perform repair/ pressure release surgery on that chest nerve We are not able to locate a surgeon that can perform this surgery. I am close to the Dallas FT Worth area , there was a surgeon in that area who performed the surgery , but he is no longer a available (retirement??? Not sure) In any case do you have a referral of a surgeon who may be able to help and has experience with this post op /nerve block damage issue?

Kind of funny that after all that science the intervention he shows is to force a withdrawing man to hug the inner child of the pursuing woman. In a sense, is he also hugging his starved inner child? She calms (maybe) like a secure child would. But I wonder what happens to his body? Does his body calm in response to hers calming? Do they both calm simultaneously? Is that the essence of co regulation? In that moment where she's pursuing fast and loud he's withdrawing, they are both terrified (not sure where he would be in terms of arousal - shutting down?), I guess the solution is going against the fear - aka for him to hug her and her to shut up. Obviously I know there's a lot more going on and any success has been a process (ie trusting the therapist and each other enough to try new things), but just amusing to hear all the brain science, and then watch a man be forced to hug a woman - but I guess the point is he's not just hugging any woman, and she's accepting the hug from not just any man. As tatkin says, it's the "family"ar, as in the memory, the recognition.

Can anyone comment on what he says at 38:30 about personality disorder being dyadic not triadic? I think he means they assume everyone is the same (probably like them?) and they are less or unable to handle the nuance of groups or people in general because their fears are so strong (so defended) they essentially believe everyone is out to get them (via abandonment/rejection or engulfment/control). Am I on the right track?
